Old School Chair

Paying tribute to the Golden Age of industrial design, the Old School Chair stands on two blade-like aluminum parts that are connected through a hard wood cylinder acting as a beam.

The tectonic of this assembly is emphasized and the connections are a great part of the aesthetic - the thick, genuine, Italian leather has straps that pass though the aluminum parts and are hooked on place thanks to wood pencils.

This kind and smart detail is a reference to Qalamsila the construction toy also designed by Ghouyoum – it is also the mark of mastering forces at connection and optimized use of materials towards cost control.
