Score & bend, poke & fold, origami... All, time old techniques that can yield sensible, honest and fun objects when paired with a well thought out design. In this case, Le Pingouin is made from 1.5mm anodized aluminum that is laser cut and perforated with a curve-in curve-out pattern that ensures a soft, folded edge and a cool, braided light pattern when the lamp is lit. Le Pingouin, as you receive it will be flat ( ready to fold ) and disassembled. Each one will have to complete the fabrication of their lamp before enjoying it for many years, thereby becoming a "maker" themselves.
